Walnut Bread

The rosemary and the honey add a special flavor to the bread. Goes perfect with just butter or a good soft cheese (Gorgonzola for expample). Try it you will not regret it.

150 gr fresh walnuts
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
500 gr bread mixture with sourdough

Finely chop the rosemary. Fry the walnuts in a frying pan without fat. Add the rosemary and honey and let the walnuts caramelize. Take care that they do not burn. Place on a plate with baking paper and let cool.
Mix the bread mixture according to manufacturer’s instructions with water/yeast. Chop the walnuts a bit smaller and add to the bread dough. Let the dough rise for about 60-90 minutes. Knead again and shape into a loaf. Let the loaf rise for 30 minutes. Bake the bread according to manufacturers instructions. For my mixture it is 10 minutes at 210 ° C and a further 35 minutes at 170 ° C (forced air).
